Happy New Year

Happy New Year

We would like to wish all our friends a very Happy New Year . We are glad to know you all and to have you as friends.
We also lost some good friends during 2010 who have had to go to The Rainbow Bridge, and we are thinking of them too. They are all missed and won't be forgotten.

Introoder in the Garden!

I was out in the garden late the other night and suddenly mum heard yowling and swearing so she ran out with the torch. She saw me on the hedge puffed up to more than ten times my usual size, then she saw the introoder inside our purrison fence. It was shadowy and the torch was a bit dim so she isn't sure whether it was a fox or a floofy dark brown cat. Dad said it was more likely a cat because it would be harder for a fox to get over the fence. Mum yelled and it ran off under the bushes. I went to chase it but she yelled louder and told me to go indoors. After a while my fur went back down and I had some supper, but my tail refused to de-floof.

Mum's note: The fence is eight feet high and not easy for the boys to climb over as the horizontal timbers are on the outside so they can't get a foot hold to get over. However that makes it easier for cats on the outside to get in although that has only happened twice as far as we know.

The Random Felines are having a commentathon so please go and leave a comment on their blog.

Mancat Monday

Click to biggify.
We are trying to remember what our nice green fields looked like before all the nasty cold white stuff ate them.

A Nippy Day

Mum said I was being rude by blowing her raspberries right after she gave me some nip. It's not my fault, nip makes me do funny things.

See how blurry my head looks? That's what it looks like from the inside for me as well when I have a bit too much nip. Wait, what am I saying? There is no such thing as too much nip. I don't have a nip problem.

I was attacking my nippy carrot then somehow my leg got in the way and I attacked it by mistake.

Carrot will pay for that, he's going to get a good bunny kicking now.

Look out!! I just saw a flying pig on the curtain pole.

Umm, what happened, what's going on and why am I sat here?

Oh yeah, I remember. ATTACK THE CARROT!!!

We are sorry we haven't done much visiting the last few days but we are getting a lot of internet problems. Mum thinks it is the cold weather and icy overhead lines causing us to have trouble getting a connection. Sometimes we can't get a connection for several hours, but when we do it stays on.

It's Snow Joke!

Mum was not just content with turning me out in the snow, she had to film the indignity too. You can see at the end I saw the garage door was open and couldn't wait to get in.
If the video doesn't play, you can watch it here.

Snow is Not Fun

When it snowed at the weekend, mum asked us if we would like to go out and play in it. IS SHE MAD??? We used to play in it when we were young and foolish, but we are older boys now with more sense. Anyway, she chucked us out the door! That shouldn't be allowed surely.

Flynn: I ran right under the hedge where there was no snow.

Eric: And I went under the swing hammock.

Flynn: Mum kept trying to get photos of me under the hedge, so I had to move away from her. I tried to keep my feet out of the snow.

When I got to the end of the hedge, I had to walk on the nasty white stuff.

Yuk! I do not like this cold stuff one bit.

I don't care what she says, I'm heading back indoors.

Eric: Good idea, I'm coming too.

Okay mum, so we've been out and walked in it, now take it away again.

Hang on a minute Flynn, there's an interesting smell here.

For goodness sake Eric, never mind the smells, lets get back in by the fire.

Easy Like Sunday

Mum took us for a walk in the snow and we weren't impressed.
Flynn: Will someone please open this gate and LET ME IN!!!

As soon as we could get away we rushed right back indoors to spend our Sunday the way it should be.

We hope you have a nice relaxing Sunday. I will once my toes thaw out.

The Friday Flashback.

This is our last Friday Flashback as we have now reached the end of our 2009 posts. We may wait a year and do Flashbacks from 2010. Mum is thinking of going back through her oldest digital photos and some scanned ones and having a Friday's Favourite Foto Flashback. If she does, it will start in the New Year.
This flashback is from December 2009 and was originally

MANCAT MONDAY.

Mum got us out during a break from the rain so I took the opportunity to get up in my favourite tree.

Eric decided he would stay in the grass and keep a lookout for mousies.

Hey Eric! I can snoopervise you from up here.

Then mum called us to go back home, so I put my lasers on so she could see me.

She opened our own private gate so we could get back into the garden the quick way.

Keep Fit with Flynn

I like to keep my tummy trim and to do so means exercising every morning. This move is very good for your tummy muscles. You have to touch the toes of your back foot with your opposite front foot. The secret is to raise your other back foot at the same time.

When you have done that you can relax for the rest of the day with a clear conscience.

Almost Wordless Wednesday

We have posted this photo before but as it is one of mum's favourites we thought it was worth posting again.

Tummy Tuesday

Flynn: Haha! I've beaten Eric to Tummy Tuesday again.

Eric: Hmm, you may think you have got one over on me, but I've got your card marked.

Mancat Monday

Eric: These pictures are from just before it got really cold and we were still going out for walks in the fields.

Flynn: It was not long after the Beans came back from their holidays, and we were glad to get out and stretch our legs again.

and to just sit and survey everything.

We checked for introoders.

and mousies.

Flynn: It was good to feel the dirt under my tummy.

Eric: Checking smells and nomming grass, what more can a mancat ask for.
