Flynn: We took mum for a walk in the long grass and I stopped to check out the mousie situation. Mum and Eric walked on. They didn't even wait for me. I could see mum but I couldn't see Eric anywhere because the grass was too long. If you see him let me know because I don't like it when he gets lost.

Tummy Tuesday
Dad has been coming with us lately when we take mum for her walks. We often sit on the grass together having some man time. He even helps me show off my tummy.
On the way back we sometimes play with long bits of grass. You can see my tummy again at the end of the video.

Mancat Monday Tail Poof.
I am so embarassed! I don't know how mum could do this to me. When I am really happy, I purr very loudly. I also poof the base of my tail, not all of it as if I was scared, just the bottom 2 or 3 inches. Now if mum wanted you to know that, you would think she would just tell you wouldn't you, but no, she had to take a photo to let all the world see not just my tail poof, but my spot #13 as well.
You would think things couldn't get any worse wouldn't you, but oh yes they can...........
She enlarged it!!! Oh the shame. Never mind the tail poof, how can a mancat like me hold my head high again knowing the world has seen my spot #13 and ::whispers:: I hadn't had chance to clean it.

The Friday Flashback.
The Friday Flashback comes from April 2009 and is called:
VISHUS DEER PATROL.
We have been very worried about the vishus deer ever since we heard about the woofie that got attacked. We know they hang out in the little wood at the bottom of our fields, so we thought we had better check them out and see if they were there. We don't want them attacking our Beans.
We had a good look from higher up and we couldn't see them. We decided it would be safe to go down there.
This is one of their favourite places amongst the trees.
We can't see any sign of them.
We thought it would be safe to stop and look at the primroses. This is where the vishus deer jump over the fence to come into the field. They knock the electric fence down and dad has to keep checking it so the horses don't get out.
On nice sunny days they like to lie in the sunspot behind the two trees.
Eric: Well we haven't seen any sign of them but all this walking has made me hot, so I had a paddle in the stream to cool my feet down.
That feels much better.
Hmm, there are some smells here. We think they have been this way.
Flynn: I will go up this tree so I can see further. You keep checking for their smell down there Eric.
Eric: Okay Flynn, I'm pretty sure they have been here recently.
Flynn: I'll go up higher so I can have a really good look.
Eric: I think it is all clear Flynn. The scent is getting weaker. I think they have gone for today.
After all that hard work we went on to the earth and enjoyed a nice refreshing roll.

The Lookout.
It has been quite hot** here lately so mum has been taking us for walks in the evenings when it is cooler.
I stand here on my vantage point and look across the fields to make sure there is no danger in the coming darkness.
I make sure I look in all directions.
Okay, that is enough of that. Lets go and get some supper.
**We know our US friends will consider our weather to be cool, but when our temperature reaches the low 70's, that is hot to us.

Mancat Monday-Rassle.
Flynn: Aarghhh! Stop biting my leg Eric.
I don't like the way you are looking at me. I don't trust you.
Ouch! I knew you were planning that.
All I wanted to do was sniff the exciting smell Eric had found. Now he has tired himself out, I can sniff to my heart's content.

The Friday Flashback.
This week the Friday Flashback comes from April 2009 and I was doing some of my mancat duties, so this post was originally a:
MANCAT MONDAY
Dad was working down in one of the fields clearing back some undergrowth. I knew he would appreciate some help so I made my way down there.
It looked like hard work so I meowed to him to see if he needed a break.
I think he was glad to stop and we enjoyed a bit of man time togevver.
Yup, he definitely needed that rest.
I stopped to help him for a while, then told him I'd better get back or mum might be wondering where I was.
I looked back as I went up the hill and could see he was hard at work again.

Flynn and Dad Playing.
Me and Eric went for a walk in the fields and we took dad with us. When we got back, he played with me with a long piece of grass. It was lots of fun.

Seeking Mr. Mouse.
Flynn: This is my favourite place to go mousie hunting. The hedge is full of mousie holes and if I sit quietly, I can usually hear them.
Shhh, I hear one.
I pounce but sometimes they run too far down their hole where I can't reach them.
I put my arm down as far as I can to see if I can feel them down there.
Eric: Watcha doin' Flynn? Have you got a mousie?
Well come on, have you got it or not? Let me see.
Flynn: Stand back, I need to look down the hole.
I can't see him.
I need to have another feel around.
I couldn't feel him so I tried to dig him out. I didn't get him but I made his front door a lot bigger.
Watch me try to dig him out on video.
Don't get complacent Mr. Mousie. I will be back tomorrow.
