White Horse

White HorseThe white horse has had a major impact on human culture throughout the world. An international team of researchers from the University of Canterbury now has the mutation responsible for this feature spectacular show that white horse brought back all the same mutation, who lived from a common ancestor thousands of years identified. The study is interesting for medical research since this mutation also increases the risk of melanoma.

The vast majority of white horses carry the dominant mutation that results in graying rapidly with age. A "Grey" horse color (black, brown or brown) was born, but the graying process starts early in life - the first year. These horses are normally completely white 6-8 years, but the skin remains pigmented. Thus, the process resembles graying in humans, but the process is ultrafast in these horses. Research shows that all gray horses exactly the same mutation from a common ancestor must be inherited.
