The Friday Flashback.

The Friday Flashback this week comes from July 2010 when we were in one of the fields before the long grass got cut for hay for the horses.

We are out in the long grass again.

It is very good for hiding in. The fev-vers don't know when we are in here, and there are lots of mousies in here too.

Flynn: I found a mousie nest and dug it out but it looks like they have already left home.

Eric: I went and checked it just in case Flynn had missed a mousie hiding in there, but it looks like he is right, they have already moved out.

It is still hot so we laid down in the cool grass for a while.

Eric: Very restful.
Flynn: Yes, but I still kept my eyes and ears on alert in case of any mousies or grasshoppers came along.

Eric: Uh oh, no peace for us. Here comes the pawpurrazzi again.

On The Scent!

I just got a whiff of an interesting smell and I have to track it down.

Ah, here it is. Sniff sniff sniff.

Bleh! That was horrible!

I'm not going to sniff that again that's for sure.

Wordless Wednesday

Tails on Tuesday.

After deserting us for two weeks, mum only had the nerve to think she was going to get some photos of us!

We turned our backs on her so she could only take photos of our tails and backs of disrespect.

Oops, nearly got my face.....

but the grass is too tempting to ignore.

Finished nomming so here is my back again.

Nope, not going to look.

We hope she's learned her lesson and isn't thinking of deserting us again.

Mancat Monday - Freedom!

The Beans are back!

Eric: That means I can lie in front of the purrison fence and enjoy the sunshine.

Flynn: I prefer to lie under the azaleas but the flowers have all died off since we got locked up.

Eric: It means I can drink and paddle in our outdoor drinking bowl again.

Flynn: And I can get back to my favourite sunny spot on a pile of paving slabs.

Mum says I have got penguin feet here. I am having a good look but I can't see what she means.

Locked Up Again.

We are having a last walk around our fields for now.

Tomorrow we get locked up for 2 weeks while our Beans go off enjoying themselves.

Our holiday auntie will come and feed us and scoop for us twice a day.

Maybe some mousies will come and visit us. See you when we get released from our purrison cell.

The Friday Flashback

This week the Friday Flashback comes from June 2010 and is called:

THE TAIL POOF!
I am so embarrassed! I don't know how mum could do this to me. When I am really happy, I purr very loudly. I also poof the base of my tail, not all of it as if I was scared, just the bottom 2 or 3 inches. Now if mum wanted you to know that, you would think she would just tell you wouldn't you, but no, she had to take a photo to let all the world see not just my tail poof, but my spot #13 as well.


You would think things couldn't get any worse wouldn't you, but oh yes they can...........


She enlarged it!!! Oh the shame. Never mind the tail poof, how can a mancat like me hold my head high again knowing the world has seen my spot #13 and ::whispers:: I hadn't had chance to clean it.

Still Raining!

Every day it rains and there is nothing to do but nap.

We're bored.

When is it going to stop?

I have to nap on the bed because Eric beats me to the new cat tree, and I don't want to nap on the old one.

The bed is good for napping when the sun comes in, but I have forgotten what it looks like.

I'm bored.

Haha! Sometimes I get the new tree first.... but I'm still bored.

Fin, A Tribute.

Late last night we heard that our dear friend Fin had taken her journey to the Rainbow Bridge. She had been diagnosed with gastro-intestinal lymphoma in November and had gone into retirement, but still came and gave some updates and flashbacks. The whole Cat Blogosphere purred for her and she enjoyed a few more months of love and pampering from her parents.
We will miss her very much, but also we will miss her stories and the events she organised like the Cat-O-Lympics 2010 which we took great enjoyment taking part in. Also there was Hunt Week which was a given that I, Flynn would partake in. Our favourite story from Hunt Week was The Great White. Then of course there were all the stories which made us laugh and how could we possibly not mention "And The Moon". If you haven't read it before, do try to make time for it. It will help to lighten a very sad day.
Fin, we will miss you very much. Thanks for bringing enjoyment and laughter to all who knew you.

Mum marinates our mousies in the valerian root that the Katnip Lounge kitties sent us.

I love my mousies even more than usual when she does that.

I like to whap them.

They make me go googly eyed.

Huh? How did I get down here?

Never mind, I've got the munchies now so I'll have a chew on my claws.

Easy Like Sunday.

We hope you all have a nice easy relaxing Sunday. We haven't been able to visit much the last couple of days, but we are hoping to catch up a bit today.
