Awards Catch Up.

We have had some more awards but we have been a bit slow posting about them.

We got the Beautiful Blogger award from Tigger. We already had this award and you can read about it here. Thanks Tigger.

1. What would your perfect day consist of?

A lie in in the morning, something I only get when we are on holiday, then a nice lazy day relaxing in the garden, then a Thai takeaway in the evening.

2. How would you describe yourself if you were an item of clothing?

A pair of jeans - old but practical.

3. What hobbies are you currently working on?

We have a rose garden where all the cats that came before are buried. When the hedge was taken down for the 'purrison' fence to go up, it gave an extra three foot depth all the way along. I am trying to get all the old brambles and weeds out and make it into a larger memorial garden.

4. Walking in the woods in wellies or bare foot on the beach?

Definitely barefoot on the beach. I spend the winter in wellies in the mud!

5. Have you ever hugged or sang to a tree?

Only if you count when I used to have to rescue Eric from the big oak tree which when he was younger, he used to climb and forget how to get back down.

6. Growing your own veggies or nipping to the supermarket?

A bit of both.

7. Have you found anyone exciting in your family tree?

No, I haven't looked.

8. Slap up meal in a posh restaurant or fish ‘n’ chips from the wrapper?

Slap up meal.

9. Which element do you most resonate with, Earth, Air, Fire or water?

I am a Leo, so fire, but I don't think I am at all typical of a Leo

10. Do you believe in fairies?

No

Just a minute, all this walking and watching Flynn catch mousies has made me thirsty.
That's better, now where was I? Oh yes, we got two awards.

We have said before that we are always happy to receive awards and so we don't mind how many times we get them. We appreciate them all.

We got the Mood Ring award from Misty at The Crew and Ginger Jasper.
They both gave us the green part of the ring.

STEP #1

Pink: What can we say about our selves and pink? Oh of course, we both have pink paw pads. Being Mancats, we really can't think of anything else pink about us.
Blue: We like to lie out in the sun and look up at the blue sky. We haven't seen much of it lately and are waiting for the rain to stop so we can see it again.
Orange: Well this is easy, we are both orange and white, although in the UK we are more often known as ginger and white.
Green: This is easy for us too. We love going for walks in our green fields.

Orange: China Cat because she is another orange cat like us.

A good Mancat will give up his nice comfy plant pot to sit on the lily bulbs if they are too slow growing.

We got two lovely awards on Saturday.

The You Rock award was given to us by Teri and the Furrydance Cats. There are no rules apart from passing it on to five other blogs that rock. We would like to pass it to:

We also got the Beautiful Blogger award, and that was given to us by Ginger Jasper. We have to say seven beautiful things about ourselves and pass it on to seven others. Now we have to try and think of seven things.
1. Eric: I give mum a good head massage every night, but when she starts yelling that I am pulling her hair out by the roots I lie on dad's head to keep it warm for him.
2. Flynn: I am a very good mouse catcher and I bring them back as presents for my mum.
3. Eric: I like to keep my dad company on the recliner and make biscuits on his tummy for him.
4. Flynn: Whenever mum is on the computer, I make sure I am sat on the desk so she doesn't get lonely.
5. Eric: If the garage door is open, I like to get in dad's tractor and warm his seat up for him before he goes to work.
6. Flynn: When mum has her breakfast, I like to climb onto her shoulder and snuggle against her neck.
7. Both of us: When it isn't raining we like to take mum for walks around our fields because we know the exercise and fresh air is good for her.

I'm not happy! Eric has hogged the blog all week! Apart from sharing the Friday Flashback yesterday, I haven't had a look in since last Saturday. Mum said I could blog today but I'm just too tired now.

I just can't stop yawning.

ERIC:
A lot of you were asking about me being wet yesterday and if I had a bath or got caught out in the rain. Both Flynn and I love water, me more so than Flynn and if it rains I just love to go out and sit in it. In this, and yesterday's photos it had been pouring down and mum didn't know I was out although she should have guessed. I came in and jumped up on the compooter desk and shook myself all over her and the monitor. When I come in wet, she always dries me with a towel, but as soon as she has finished, I go out and get wet again. Dad tells mum to shut the door so I can't go back out cuz he sez it's no fun sharing the bed with a soggy moggy. Mum sez she can't shut me in cuz Flynn is out in the greenhouse sleeping in his plant pot and he won't be able to come back in.
So to all of you who wondered about me being so wet, don't worry cuz I love it.

The rules of this award are to give seven beauty secrets and then pass it on to seven bloggers. Well we are not really into beauty like that so we thought long and hard and came up with these seven beauty tips.

1: Get plenty of fresh air if you can. It is good for your lungs. If you have good lungs you can yell louder.

2: Get plenty of exercise. It is good for keeping you supple. If you don't go outdoors, Thundering herds of Elephants is a good exercise for indoor only cats.

3: Keep your furrs clean. It is always nice to have a spotless tummy.

4: Check your reflection for blemishes. You don't want to smile at your mum with bits of mouse stuck between your teeth.

5: Keep your nails nicely sharpened. You never know when you may want to use them.

6: Get plenty of beauty sleep. You don't want to get bags under your eyes do you?

7: If you get the opportunity, roll in the dirt. It makes your furrs lovely and soft.

Tummy Tuesday and Awards

I don't know why mum chose this photo of me. It makes me look short and fat and really I'm quite long and slim. Not only that, it shows off my pink patch on my tummy. It is where I have baffed all my furrs away. She better choose better photos next time or she will feel my claws.

So, here are 10 honest things about us. We decided to do 5 each.
Eric:
1: I never used to mind having my photo taken, but now I don't like it at all.
2: I like to sleep on dad's head, but when both Beans are asleep, I get on mum's pillow and push her head off so she wakes up with a stiff neck.
3: I don't have good bedside manners. If I want to go from one side of the bed to the other, I just walk across their heads. If they get a paw in their eye or mouth, then that is tough luck.
4: I use the greenhouse as a giant litterbox and mum has to scoop it regularly. She should be grateful, it saves on kitty litter.
5: I am supposed to be on a diet but it isn't working. I am 23lbs but mum wants me to be 19lbs. We think I put on weight because I don't yak any more.

Flynn:
1: Mum calls me Mr. Squawk because I never stop talking.
2: I am not supposed to catch the fev-vers, but I do if mum isn't around.
3: I like to sleep under the covers, even in summer when it is hot.
4: I love Stinky Goodness better than crunchies, and I eat Eric's, but only because I am trying to help him diet. Hmm, maybe that is not really honest.
5: Unless we are walking in the fields, I don't like pooping outdoors. I will come in from the garden to use the litterbox then go back out again.

Okay, we know it's not seven blogs, but it is seven cats.

We had some questions about our purrizen fence in yesterday's Friday Flashback.
Milo and Alfie asked what the view was like from the other side. If you go here you can see what it was like before it was built.
Eric: Of the three photos of dad pushing me in the wheelbarrow, the middle one shows the hedge on our left that was taken down and replaced by the fence. We can still see the view from indoors.
Angel and The Cat Street Boyz asked why the ladder was left there. It was only there while dad was still working on the fence. When he finished, he took it away. Spoilsport!
Poppy says she is allowed to roam free. We once were also allowed to, but our nearest neighbour has a dog who hates cats and if he saw us, he would attack us and mum said she couldn't take that chance. He hates other dogs and most people too so mum keeps away from him too.
Faz put in a request for a Friday Flashback. We are going month by month and we think the post you mean comes from October last year. We will make a note to do it when that month comes around. If you want to see it in the mean time, you can see it here.
